A failed hard drive, a deleted folder, a stolen laptop or a ransomware attack can all wipe out years of work. A good backup means any of these is an inconvenience rather than a disaster. We set up and look after backups for small businesses across Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Leek and the Staffordshire Moorlands.

What we can back up

• Microsoft 365. Email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted items are only kept for a limited time, so a separate backup is the safe option.
• Computers and laptops. Automatic backups of documents and settings, so a failed laptop doesn't mean lost work.
• Servers and NAS drives. On-site backups for speed, with a copy off-site in case of fire, flood or theft.
• Cloud storage. Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive set up and organised.

Backups that are checked, not just set up

A backup is only useful if it works when you need it. We check that backups are running and test that files can actually be restored, so you're not left finding out the hard way.

Data migration

Moving to a new computer, a new server or into the cloud? We move your data safely, check it all arrived, and make sure nothing is left behind on old equipment before it's recycled. That includes moving files from an old office server into SharePoint (see SharePoint set-up).

Common questions

Doesn't Microsoft back up our 365 data?

Microsoft protects its own systems, but it isn't designed to restore files you deleted months ago, or to undo damage from ransomware. That's why we recommend a separate backup of your Microsoft 365 data.

Where are backups stored?

Usually in two places: one copy on-site for quick restores, and one in secure cloud storage in case something happens to your premises.
